This is how I feel about you at the moment… half of my heart is all too keen to jump in and tell you I love you, that I think you’re incredible… it even wants to tell you about the shy conversations I had with my friends right at the beginning of all of this when I said that you were the kind of man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

The rest of me has been so badly hurt that I’m reluctant to even think that love exists, much less that it could apply to how I feel about you. It wants to run away every time this isn’t easy or every time I lose my temper or reveal just how selfish I can be.
